Commissions

I would love to create a lasting documentation of any architectural structure for you. It could be a home, workplace, factory or barn. The size of the painting is up to you, but I prefer not to work too large. I like to capture the essence of a place so seeing it in person is very important.

Process

I work from photographs that I take myself, but I would be willing to discuss a project from your photos if working on site is not feasible. I would be willing to travel to your location and the expenses could be discussed as part of the commission. After viewing the site and taking digital photographs, I will sketch up a few ideas and we can discuss the final design together.

Examples

The three images below are examples of some past work.

Burchay Fur Building on Market Street

One is the Burchay Fur Building on Market Street in Chattanooga. It was slated for demolition but ended up being saved. However, the final remainder of the building has lost some of the original façade seen here.

The next example is of a little yellow Craftsman house that was demolished for the expansion of Hixson Pike.

And the third example is of a house that was demolished to make way for the SimCenter engineering building on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus.
